Load them into the desktop app by navigating to the “Virtual Background” tab of the program’s Preferences window. Unsplash is a free resource for high-quality stock images, and these have become super handy to use as Zoom backgrounds. The images below are sized to fit the 16:9 aspect ratio of Zoom’s virtual backgrounds. Pretend you are in a police lineup during your next Zoom meeting. Naturally, we thought we’d whip up some Austin backgrounds for your enjoyment, some of which are pretty obvious and others more niche. Use a custom background to fool unsuspecting participants Assuming that you own a new enough computer (or a green screen), Zoom will let you use a 'custom background' that superimposes you. For reasons unknown, the world has collectively agreed to use videoconferencing software Zoom for conducting business while distancing ourselves socially, and one nice feature those folks give us is the ability to load a virtual background into the program so everyone else calling into a meeting doesn’t have to see the state of your living room, bedroom, home office, ditch, or wherever else you’re working.
